My name is Brendan Considine and I am an enthusiastic, part-time photographer living in County Roscommon, Ireland.

I bought my first camera (a Nikon D5100 with kit lens) in August 2011 because I needed it for work. I soon discovered that I really enjoyed taking pictures and it became a passion very quickly. It is my hope/ambition to, someday, make photography a full time job or, at least, a full time hobby.

Like most photographers, I try to photograph what I think are interesting subjects and from what I consider interesting angles, points of view etc. Mostly, I photograph what I like and, while I’m taking the pictures, try to frame them in the camera and imagine what they might look like on my (or your) kitchen or sitting room wall.

I am fortunate to live in a part of Ireland which has countless scenic locations within a very short drive of my house. The beautiful Arigna Hills and North Leitrim can be seen from my front door; Scenic County Sligo is 20 minutes away with its many beaches and Benbulbin Mountain close by; Cloontykilla Castle, on the banks of Lough Key, with its wonderful walks is 6 minutes from my house and is where a large number of pictures displayed on this site were taken; Lough Meelagh and Kilronan Castle are also about 6 minutes away. All these locations present wonderful opportunities for indulging my passion for photography.
